Agenda
Panel: UChicago and the AI Revolution
For more than a century, the University of Chicago has brought together the world’s boldest thinkers across every field of inquiry. Now, as computation and artificial intelligence transform research and society, the University is building on this field-defining legacy. Together, UChicago computer scientists, philosophers, biologists, economists, humanists, and others are asking the questions that matter most: What does it mean to think? How do minds—human and machine—learn, reason, and create? How can we harness these insights for human flourishing?
- Henry Hoffmann, Liew Family Chair of Computer Science
- Ben Y. Zhao, Neubauer Professor of Computer Science
- Rebecca Willett, Worah Family Professor in the Wallman Society of Fellows, Computer Science, Statistics, and the College
- Emily Osborn, Associate Professor of History
Lab Tours
Step inside UChicago’s research spaces and experience innovation up close. This year’s tours will feature the Actuated Experience (AxLab) Lab, AI and Me Group, EpiQC (Enabling Practical-Scale Quantum Computing) Lab, and the Canon (Computing for Anyone) Lab—offering a firsthand look at work spanning human-centered computing, AI, quantum systems, and accessible technologies.
Lightning Talks
Hear directly from UChicago Computer Science faculty as they share brief, engaging talks on their latest research. These lightning talks offer a fast-paced look at cutting-edge ideas across the department, highlighting the breadth and depth of work happening at UChicago CS.
