Advisor: Marshini Chetty
I am a first year PhD Student working in the AIR Lab with Professor Marshini Chetty. Before my PhD, I completed my Bachelors in Computer Science at Princeton University. I completed my independent work on YouTube Comment Sentiment with Professor Brian Kernighan, presenting it at talks with All Tech is Human and ARTificial Intelligence in Collectives (ARTIC). My senior thesis, conducted with Professor Andrés Monroy-Hernández and the Worker’s Algorithm Observatory, explored new ways to present data to gig drivers and provide personalized recommendations through a prototype app.
My research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI), platform governance, and algorithmic systems, with a particular focus on how digital platforms shape the lives of workers and online communities. At the AIR Lab, I am working on projects that investigate how online platforms use design patterns and AI-driven recommendations to influence user behavior, with an eye toward identifying harmful practices and imagining more user-centered alternatives.
