Eunhyung (Summer) Ann is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Chicago, advised by Robert L. Grossman. She actively involved in the Data Commons project to develop AI-driven immune receptor modeling tools.
Before joining UChicago, She earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Biology from the University of Michigan, where they worked on genomic sequence analysis, explainable AI, and computational medicine. She has held research and engineering roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they developed predictive scheduling algorithms using AWS Bedrock, and at Backyard Brains, where they built educational AI tools showcased at TED Talks.
Eunhyung’s research focuses on AI-driven representation learning, large-scale model training, and scalable machine learning infrastructure. Her broader interests include efficient deep learning architectures, structured data integration, and AI for scientific discovery.
