Tucker Rae-Grant is a multidisciplinary HCI researcher with a background in visual art and education. He received his BA from Yale University and an MFA from the University of Chicago. Before joining the Computer Science department, he worked as a research assistant in the Morphing Matter Lab and the Future Interfaces Group at Carnegie Mellon University. He has worked as both a classroom teacher and a makerspace educator, and also spent some time as a co-founder of a failed hardware startup.

My work explores new possibilities for creative agency by developing novel tools for engaging the physical world.
